We have programs of 1, 2 or 3 days in Akhajulyah Guesthouse. It allows you to experience the real life of a Akha hilltribe. Each program starts in the late afternoon (pick up around 4pm in Mae Suai) and ends in the early morning.

You will be able to have entire days (morning to evening). This schedule makes it easier for the family to combine your stay with their work in the field.  You will personally been taken care by them and you will be able to choose any activities of the list below.

Nous proposons des programmes de 1, 2 ou 3 jours entiers, vous permettant de vivre de facon authentique la vie quotidienne d’une famille akha.

Chaque programme commence vers 4pm (pick up in Mae Suai) et se termine le matin tôt.  Ces horaires permettent  à la famille également de combiner plus facilement votre séjour et leur travail dans les champs.

Below is the list of activities we recommend for your daily program. However, we can customize your daily program as you wish.

1-Day Stay:

• Visit the village. You may have some tea at Api’s (Grand Ma) house or in an other house with members of the family (Mali and Aya).
• Visit the new buddhist temple in the forest

Let us know if you wanna learn meditation with Arsa the monk in the early morning (6am)

• Visit the School and spend a few hours with the children
• Cut bamboo in the forest and do some handicraft (like bamboo cups or baskets)

2-Day Stay:

• Go for a walk in the forest and reach the fields where you can see the different kind of cultivation.
• Go to the field with member of the family (planting, harvesting the rice, corn, ginger…) 
• Discover Akha music and danse with a special evening made for you, by members of the family that will come up from down the village.
• Cook with Ama, Meou or Mali near the fire
• Learn Akha language and Akha culture
  
  

You may discover Akha ceremonies depending of the timing of the Akha calendar, the days, the seasons and on the circumstances.

1-Day Stay:

• Visite du village. Eventuellement, thé dans une des familles ou chez la grand mère Api
• Apprenez la méditation dans le temple bouddhiste au milieu de la forêt. Session matinale à 6am avec le monk Arsa
• Passez du temps à l'école avec les enfants du village en enseignant l'anglais.
• Coupez du bambou dans la forêt et apprenez à faire des paniers et autres artisanats.
  
  

2-Day Stay:

• Randonnées dans la forêt et dans les collines vertes pour atteindre les champs, ou vous pourrez voir les diffèrentes cultures.
• Marche vers les champs avec la famille (planter ou récolter le riz, le maïs, le gingembre...)
• Découvrez la musique et la danse Akha avec une soirée spécialement organisée pour vous par les membres de la famille.
• Cuisinez avec Ama ou Mali prêt du feu.
• Découvrez la langue et la culture Akha.

Vous participerez peut être aux cérémonies Akha (en fonction des jours et des saisons)
